Altius Resources combines deep industry knowledge of their consultants earned through years of trading and risk management experience in commodities markets to help organizations having price risk exposure to maximize value by proactively managing their risk.
We work closely with our clients to understand their risk exposure, develop risk frameworks, define risk mitigation strategies and implement solutions. We help our clients in setting up professional analytics, infrastructure and execution platforms to put those strategies into action. We also provide training for the management and all related staff to understand, identify and strategize to mitigate such risks.
Through our market intelligence in both physical and derivative markets we help clients to stay informed on the market behavior and developments in the market.
JOYDEEP MUKHERJEE
Managing Director
Joydeep has more than 20 years of proven track record in commodities trading and risk management where he built and managed successful trading businesses with disciplined risk management practices.

He started his career as Foreign Exchange Options trader with BankBoston before moving to the commodities trading world joining oil major BP. Joydeep managed market risk for BP's trading activities in the Eastern Hemisphere and played a crucial role in building up their Australian power trading business.

He has also worked in senior role with leading commodities trading house, Noble Group, managing oil derivatives portfolio of internal macro trading fund and thereafter joined as Head of Oil Trading at ANZ Bank, where he built and managed a successful oil trading business.
Joydeep started his entrepreneurial career setting up Altius Resources, Singapore, with the initial mission of trading coal. However, due to regulatory environment in India the coal business faced headwinds but the company soon found interests from commodity traders and end users to help them in their procurement and risk management of oil and other physical commodities.
In 2020 Joydeep started Altius Resources in UAE after spending more than five years in the Middle East and gaining significant knowledge and familiarity with the Middle East commodity trading markets.

Joydeep has an MBA with quantitative and financial engineering background with deep-rooted knowledge in oil, power and renewables trading markets. With the unique experience of having managed both derivatives and physical commodities trading portfolios and with his experience in risk management Joydeep help clients to understand and manage their commodity risk exposure and derive value from volatility and price actions in the market. He has extensive relationship in both Asian and Middle East energy trading markets.
